What is a discipline score, and why track it?

P&L is a lagging, noisy signal: you can make money breaking every rule and lose money following them all. A discipline score measures the thing you actually control (your process) so you can improve it directly.

What it measures

A discipline score rates each session on behaviour, not outcome: did you follow your plan, respect your risk, avoid impulsive trades, complete your checklist? A green day where you broke your rules should score low; a red day where you did everything right should score high.

Why it beats chasing profit

Process leads results. If your discipline score is consistently high, profit follows over a large enough sample. If it's low, any profit is luck that will reverse. Tracking it turns "trade better" from a vague wish into a number you can move.

TradeDiscipline computes a discipline score from your checklist, your risk behaviour and your emotional tags, separate from P&L, so you always know whether you're building a durable edge or just running hot.
